get your parents to speak to her or you could write her a letter and /or bring one from your doctor, because if you cant do it you will need something to back you up.

I told my teacher this before.
She was okay and said, just pick 5 friends and tell them to come in at break time for me to do it then.
That was still to hard, so i just didnt do it. Still got 9 A* GCSE's though. Haha

You need a doctor's note explaining your problem.
Talking in front of people scares the hell out of me and I had to take speech class in high school (graduation requirement) and in college.
I got through both classes but I learned that I'd never be able to go into teaching.

How about writing it in a letter (or getting your parents to), maybe include some links to websites that explain your condition.

I know its hard, but you *can* do it. Believe in yourself and remind yourself that 2-4 minutes is such a short length of time and you will be fine. If you don't do your presentation you will only be setting yourself up for bigger problems in the future as anxiety grows the more you put things off/avoid them. Look up some inspirational quotes and repeat them to yourself in your head when you are getting nervous. Think how good you will feel once after you've done the exam and how proud of yourself you will be. Treat yourself to a new cd or item of clothing when it's over. Good luck!

ooo same with the severe anxiety disorder. comforting to see someone else out there in the same position =]
well, there was this one time where i got let off doing a presentation to the new class, back in september. i basically talked to my teacher out of class, somewhere quiet where noone could hear, and i just said look i'm really sorry but i don't think i can do the presentation, i'm just so nervous and i really won't be able to do it because i'll mess up and you won't understand what i'm saying. seriously i will need to drink before i do it otherwise…. and she let me off on that basis.
but that teacher already knew about my disorder and i also had depression at the time so it's different for you and i can't imagine what you must be feeling cause i'd be so nervous
could you email this teacher? or give it to her in a letter? if it's easier. or do any other teachers know like your head of year or form tutor? they might be able to tell your teacher for you.
otherwise, could your parent/s write in? or maybe you could just take the whole week off… but that would be avoidance.
i hope some of that helped…
if not, if you are getting therapy right now like cbt or seeing a doctor, you can get them to write a letter for you saying that it wouldn't benefit you to do it.
and i agree with charla, i've done that before, with the friends thing (not the 9 A* gcse's lol)
good luck though i share your anxiety, especially about presentations, i feel like i am going to die whenever that word is said let alone when i have to do one x
